Senior Lead Automation QA Vice President

This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of our systems that form the backbone of our financial reporting and accounting processes. . The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with demonstrable expertise in Java, Shell Scripting, and Python. Proficiency in crafting complex database queries is essential. You should have a deep understanding of modern test automation tools and frameworks, including BDD with Cucumber, internal frameworks like FAST, and various UI testing frameworks. Beyond technical prowess, you must have a passion for mentoring junior automation developers, guiding them to build robust and scalable test solutions. A background in the financial and accounting domain is a significant plus and will help you succeed in this role **Responsibilities:** * Lead and define the test automation strategy for the financial sub\-ledger application. * Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient automated test frameworks and scripts. * Provide hands\-on technical leadership and mentorship to a team of junior QA automation engineers. * Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in testing and automation. * Collaborate closely with development, business analysis, and product management teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. * Perform and lead various testing types, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. * Develop and execute complex SQL queries to perform data validation and ensure data integrity across systems. * Identify, analyze, and report software defects and work with development teams to see them through to resolution. * Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies. * Prepare and present test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders. **Recommended Qualifications:** + **8\-10 years** of relevant experience in **software development/ QA and test automation.** + **Strong hands\-on programming skills in Java, with proficiency in Shell Scripting and Python.** + Expertise in writing and optimizing complex database queries for data validation. + In\-depth knowledge and practical experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Cucumber. + Experience with automation frameworks like FAST is a plus + Proficiency with **UI testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).** + Proven ability to mentor and lead junior automation developers. + Familiarity with financial and accounting domains is a significant plus. + Excellent problem\-solving, analytical, and communication skills. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience + Master’s degree preferred This job description provides a high\-level review of the types of work performed.
