Lead AI Engineer

## Overview KRAS AI Solutions is looking for a Lead AI Engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience to lead the design and development of production-grade AI products across Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, NLP, and Machine Learning. You will build end-to-end AI systems, design scalable architectures, and develop and deploy LLM, RAG, and agent-based workflows. You will also integrate AI models with production applications and APIs, and guide a small engineering team through implementation and deployment. This role is hybrid, based in Mumbai. ## Responsibilities - Lead the design and development of end-to-end AI systems for production use cases - Develop LLM, RAG, and agentic AI workflows from problem definition to reliable deployment - Design scalable architectures for Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, NLP, and Machine Learning - Implement and productionize AI model pipelines, including integration with applications and APIs - Build robust prompt engineering approaches for production performance - Work with vector databases to enable retrieval and improve response quality - Own cloud deployment of AI solutions and support production operations - Guide and mentor a small engineering team through implementation, testing, and deployment ## Requirements - 6 to 10 years of experience building and shipping AI/ML systems - Strong hands-on expertise in Python - Strong ML and Deep Learning fundamentals - Experience building with LLM APIs - Strong prompt engineering skills - Practical experience with RAG - Experience with vector databases - Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud - Experience with modern AI frameworks - Ability to independently take an AI use case from problem definition to a reliable production solution ## Nice to have - Experience working in startups or building AI products from scratch ## What we offer - Opportunity to lead end-to-end delivery of production-grade Generative AI and LLM systems - Ownership of architectures, workflows, and deployment of LLM, RAG, and agentic AI solutions - Collaborative environment with room to mentor and grow a small engineering team
