Freshers and recent graduates interested in field sales are welcome. About the role We are hiring a motivated, target-driven Business Development Manager for field sales of life and health insurance. The core responsibility is to acquire new customers and develop fresh business through self-generated leads, field visits, calls, referrals and local networking. You will meet customers, understand their needs, explain suitable insurance plans, follow up with prospects and achieve sales targets while building strong customer relationships. Key responsibilities - Generate fresh business and your own leads through calls, referrals, field visits, local networking and digital channels. - Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable insurance solutions. - Explain policy features, benefits, exclusions and premium details clearly. - Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. - Follow up regularly with prospective and existing customers. - Assist customers with documentation and policy issuance. - Coordinate with insurers for quotations and policy servicing. - Build customer relationships for renewals and cross-selling. - Maintain accurate sales records in CRM/software. - Stay updated on insurance products, market trends and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications and skills - Completed graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline. - 0-3 years of experience; 1-2 years in insurance, BFSI or direct sales is preferred. - Life and health insurance sales experience is preferred. - Freshers/recent graduates with strong sales aptitude and an interest in field sales may apply. - Willingness to make field visits and independently generate leads is essential. - Strong communication, negotiation, convincing and interpersonal skills. - Target-oriented, self-motivated and comfortable working independently and in a team. - Basic understanding of insurance products and sales processes is an advantage. - Cold-calling and field-sales experience is a plus; MS Office and Outlook proficiency is preferred. Compensation - Freshers: INR 25,000 per month fixed (INR 3,00,000 annually), plus attractive incentives. - Experienced candidates: INR 25,000-45,000 per month fixed (INR 3,00,000-5,40,000 annually), based on experience, plus attractive incentives.
