Agentic AI intern **Location:** \[porur,chennai ] **Employment Type:** internship **Department:** Engineering / AI \& Automation **About the Role** We're looking for an Agentic AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy autonomous and semi\-autonomous AI agents that automate workflows, integrate with internal and external tools, and deliver measurable business value. You'll work at the intersection of LLM engineering, software architecture, and product thinking — turning open\-ended tasks into reliable, production\-grade agentic systems. What You'll Do * Design and build AI agents powered by large language models (LLMs) that can plan, reason, call tools/APIs, and complete multi\-step tasks autonomously * Integrate agents with internal systems, third\-party APIs, and data sources (e.g., CRMs, databases, SaaS tools, internal microservices) * Develop and refine prompting strategies, tool\-use schemas, and orchestration logic (e.g., ReAct, planning/execution loops, multi\-agent coordination) * Build evaluation frameworks to test agent reliability, accuracy, latency, and cost, and iterate based on results * Implement guardrails, monitoring, and fallback logic to ensure agents behave safely and predictably in production * Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to identify high\-value automation opportunities * Own agents end\-to\-end: from prototyping through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement * Stay current with the fast\-moving agentic AI landscape (frameworks, models, best practices) and bring relevant advances into the team's work What We're Looking For **Required:** * Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field * Solid Python programming skills * Familiarity with LLMs and how they work (prompting, embeddings, fine\-tuning basics) * Some hands\-on experience with agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI) or a strong interest in learning * Understanding of APIs, JSON, and basic software engineering practices (git, testing, debugging) * Curiosity and comfort with ambiguity — agentic AI is a fast\-moving space with few established patterns * Strong communication skills and ability to document your work clearly **Nice to Have:** * ontributions to open\-source AI/agent projects * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) * Experience working in a startup or fast\-iteration environment Why Join Us * Work on cutting\-edge AI agent systems with real production impact * \[Competitive salary and equity * \[Remote\-friendly / flexible working culture] * \[Learning \& development budget] Pay: ₹2,000\.00 \- ₹10,000\.00 per month Work Location: In person Note: This is a third party job (Aggregated by careeruplift.ai).
