**Job Title: Architect Java Backend Developer** **Location:** Remote / Hybrid (as applicable) **Employment Type:** Full\-Time (12\+ Months) **Experience:** 10\+ Years **Joining:** Within 3–4 Weeks **English Proficiency:** B1\+ Required **About the Role** We are looking for an experienced **Architect Java Backend Developer** to design and build highly scalable, cloud\-native distributed systems. In this role, you will drive technical architecture, lead engineering best practices, and work across multiple teams to develop next\-generation platform components. You will also leverage **LLMs and Generative AI** to enhance developer productivity and modernize engineering workflows. **Key Responsibilities** * Define and drive technical strategy, architecture, and technology roadmaps for complex distributed systems. * Design, develop, and optimize scalable, high\-performance backend services using Java technologies. * Lead the adoption of AI\-assisted development practices using LLMs and Generative AI to improve engineering productivity. * Mentor engineering teams, conduct architecture and design reviews, and establish coding standards and best practices. * Own end\-to\-end system architecture, including scalability, security, reliability, performance, and incident management. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to deliver robust cloud\-native applications. * Drive continuous improvement through automation, monitoring, and DevOps best practices. **Required Skills \& Qualifications** * 10\+ years of professional experience in Java backend development. * Strong expertise in **Java (J2EE), Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud**. * Extensive experience designing **microservices** and distributed systems. * Strong knowledge of databases such as **Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra**. * Hands\-on experience with cloud platforms (**AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud**). * Experience with **Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift**, and CI/CD pipelines. * Strong understanding of **Kafka, JMS**, or other messaging systems. * Proven expertise in designing highly available, fault\-tolerant, and horizontally scalable architectures. * Experience with distributed system patterns, caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and performance optimization. * Strong communication skills with **B1\+ English proficiency**. **Nice to Have** * Experience with Linux environments and Apache Tomcat. * Knowledge of **Domain\-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, Event\-Driven Architecture**, and Enterprise Integration Patterns. * Hands\-on experience integrating **LLMs/Generative AI** into enterprise applications. * Understanding of prompt engineering and AI\-powered development tools.
